Reveiw: Flower Raise Some 'Brows Eye Pencil

I must first start out by saying that I am a brow noob. I have multicolored (natural brown and unnatural blonde) in broad sections and I recently decided I LOVE the way dramatic brows look. I go for a sort of vintage look with my hair and makeup (when I do it) and I feel like filled in brows adds a bit of a 'pin up' type look (I'm probably crazy, but I love it).
So, as most of my product buying excursions begin, I started by searching around the beauty section of my local drugstore (it happened to be Walmart in this case) and found a couple eyebrow products that I picked up. I had hoped to find some kind of brow powder with no prevail. So I settled with a couple pencils that were suitable shades for my rather dark brown brows. I have naturally dark ashy brown hair and my brows match nearly exactly.
I found this Flower brow pencil in light brown ( I guess that's light?) and thought it would match my brows fairly well and it was inexpensive (about $6) so I grabbed it. Flower brand is a Walmart exclusive (I believe) by Drew Barrymore. I also grabbed a Covergirl eyebrow pencil on the same trip that was also light brown, but a much reddish brown color.
Packaging is pretty nice. It's a self-sharpening/ roll up type pencil. The combination of the overall white packing with the silvery metallic writing is a good combination. The best part of the packing is the product color indicator on the end of the pencil, it is so true to color I was highly impressed!
Speaking of color, this pencil matches my eyebrow color nearly exactly! It is literally the perfect color for me. I also really like the hardness of this pencil, the Covergirl one that I go is quite a bit softer than the Flower one. The density of it makes it easy to work with and I feel like it makes it more difficult to mess up application. It only takes me a couple of minutes to apply this stuff then I go over them with a little clear brow gel to hold them in place and voila, much better brows!
I don't fill them in all that much, just enough to give some more definition to my face. Overall I really like this stuff and it comes with quite a bit of product for a great price! I do suggest this for anyone just starting out with brows or looking for a quick fix brow pencil. It's easy to use, is a nice texture, and is quite build-able depending on what kind of look you are going for.

Thanks so much for reading and I hope it was helpful

Have you tried this Flower pencil? Did you like it?

Do you have any suggestions for good drugstore brow powders?
