Collective Haul: April 2014

Needless to say, I've been doing a little shopping. A few necessities, a recent obsession, and a couple of splurges. This haul is from a few different trips and a load of different stores, mostly drug store and one high end. The stores I visited include Lush (as you probably knew from the pictures), Sally's Beauty Supply, Fred Meyers, and Rite Aid. For that many stores I'd say I did a pretty good jobs keeping my impulse purchases to a minimum (yay me! :D )

Lush -

Firstly, Lush is so far away from me! I have to drive like an hour and half just to get there. So, naturally, whenever I am near I take to opportunity to stop in.   Earlier this month I got that opportunity when I went to see Cirque du Soleil's Totem performance with my sister (Watching for Pigs on the Wing) and fiancé (it was absolutely fantastic by the way) but since Lush was only a few minutes away of course we had to stop. Shoutout to the fiancé for putting up with my sister and I in such a place, or at all :).

Anyway, after looking about a bit I found the purple colored bath bomb you saw in the photos. This is actually a gift for my, soon to be, mother-in-law for this coming Mother's Day (along with a couple others items I'm sure). It's a classic bath bomb in Blackberry, which I liked (and I hope she likes) beause it's not quite a sweet as some of the others. It was $6.35, in case you wanted to know. I was also looking for a massage bar, as I haven't ever had one before and I've heard they're great :) After I found them I proceeded to smell every one of them until I decided on the minty one called Wiccy Magic Muscles for $10.95. This bar smells intoxicating and wonderful! Of course, I also had to get the cute little Lush tin to hold the massage bar while it's not in use for $3.95. And finally, at the checkout I was given the cute little lemon scented marmalade 'Sexy Peel' sample that I am so excited to try.

Sally's Beauty Supply -

This trip was out of necessity, I had to get a different base coat. I've been using a Rimmel Pro Base/Top coat that, honestly, just does work that well and at this point I have used quite a bit of it. So it was time. I ended up going with this Seche Clear base coat that cost $4.99. I love (like, with a firey passion) the Seche Vite Fast Dry top coat so I thought I would give the base a try. So far it seems pretty good. At the checkout they happened to have these bottles of Beauty Secerts brand cuticle oil. Typically I don't use a cuticle oil, I just use some nice lotion or hand cream and make sure to work it into the cuticle area well but it was $1.99 so I thought I would give it a try.

Fred Meyer -

I do most of my grocery shopping here and they have a fair sized drugstore beauty section, so I do pick up quite a few of my 'normal' beauty products. But I needed some more powder so I stopped into the beauty section and found the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in Nude Beige and since I have combination to oily skin I thought it was a good choice. I don't have my receipt anymore but, if I remember correctly, it was a little more than $5. They also happened to have a buy one get one half off coupon for the WHOLE beauty section, so I got myself this lovely Fit Me blush by Maybelline in Deep Coral, also originally around $5.

Rite Aid -

This was an absolute mission. My sister told me there was a sale on the new Revlon Colorburst matte balms from their usual $8.99 for $4.99 :O We'd been watching for them to go on sale somewhere so we could test them so we jumped in the car and made a visit to rite aid. I should have gotten 2 of them at that price but I didn't, I got the one in the shade Unapologetic number 210. I love this shade! The formulation is incredibly pigmented and smooth, just wonderful.

Well, that it for now. I may end up with another one (or two) of those Revlon matte balms, I'll keep you posted! Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed! Have you hauled anything recently that you're super stoked about? Let me know :)
