Little Drug Store Beauty Haul

Yesterday evening I took a brief trip to the beauty section of Target and of Fred Meyers with my sister to grab a couple of essentials (plus other stuff inevitably!)

Everytime I walk into Target I must check out the value/sample isle. I don't know if it's like this for all Targets but the value section in mine is literally right as you walk through the door, so it's nearly unavoidable. But I was looking through for anything new or interesting and I found this cute little Burt's Bees Intense Hydration day cream with clary sage (some wonderful herb, I imagine), for my purse. I mean, granted, I probably have plenty of little day creams but it's way too cute and only $2, so I got it!

For a while now I sort of fell off the makeup wagon, at least as far as foundation and base products go. For the most part I've just been using a powder or, on worse days, a tinted moisturizer. However, out of sheer interest I recently bought the new Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse foundation. I must profess, the packaging is so cute, matte and pretty attractive. I've used it a couple times but bought the Rimmel Stay Matte primer to pair with it before I fully form my opinion on it. It was just about $7 from Fred Meyers. I swatched it on my hand when I got in the car and it made my skin so soft and wonderful feeling! Can't wait to see how it does on my face and to do the full review.

Also, having fallen off the base band wagon, I haven't been using concealers. I would typically just use a little of my best tinted moisturizer and since my skin was doing pretty well that was enough. Since we got into winter my skin has begun acting up some and I thought it was time to grab a couple concealers to help hide the issue. I haven't heard of any absolutely fabulous drug store concealers recently, so I grabbed a couple. The first one is the Maybelline Fit Me concealer in the shade Fair Clair number 15. I also bought the really affordable, super common concealer Tone Correcting concealer by Elf in Apricot Beige number 4001. I figured I could compare them, considering the Elf one  costs $1 and the Maybelline one was was a bit more at about $4 or $5.

With spring on the way I felt the need to get a nice bright lipstick and I pretty much love anything with coral in it. However I don't have, nor have I worn all that much coral makeup so now it's time! This is Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipstick in the color Lovers Coral (such an adorable name). I absolutely love the color and can't wait to see how it looks on me (so excited).

Keep an eye out for reviews and first impressions posts soon!

Have you bought any new beauty products recently? Have you tried any of these products? I would love to hear, let me know down below.

Oh and Happy International Women's Day!
